Mason As the Star

With Mason's birthday on Monday, he was the Star all week. This is Mason in front of his bulletin board that his teacher made for him. This was so cute. It was a trip down memory lane. Oh how much Mason as grown. If you look close you can see a lot. Click on the picture and take a closer look. He is proud of his wall. This was his morning class that did this.

HAPPY 5TH BIRTHDAY

THIS IS WHAT I HAVE HEARD ALL DAY. IT'S MY BIRTHDAY SO I GET TO PLAY THE DS, IT'S MY BIRTHDAY SO I GET TO HAVE CHOCOLATE. MASON HAS BEEN WIRED ALL DAY WITH IT BEING HIS BIRTHDAY. MILES PUT UP SOME BIRTHDAY SIGNS AND MASON RAN THE HOUSE 5 TIMES OVER SO EXCITED ABOUT IT. HE EVEN HAD TO WAKE HIS SISTER UP ANS SHOW HER. EVERYWERE HE HAS BEEN HE HAS BEEN WIRED. HIS TEACHERS EVEN SAID THEY HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM SO HYPER. IT IS LIKE HE HAD 5 POUND OF SUGAR TODAY WITH OUT EATING A THING. NEXT YEAR I THINK WE WILL NOT LET HIM KNOW IT IS HIS BIRTHDAY UNTIL 8 PM WHEN HE NEEDS TO OPEN PRESENTS AND THEN GO TO BED. IT HAS BEEN FUN WATCHING HIM. ON OUR KIDS BIRTHDAYS THEY GET TO CHOOSE THE MEALS. THIS IS MASONS MENU.
  • BREAKFAST: CHOCOLATE CHIP MUFFINS AND MILK
  • LUNCH: CORN DOG AND FRIES WITH CHOCOLATE MILE AND A KIDDIE CHOCOLATE CONE.
  • DINNER: CHICKEN NUGGETS, TATER TOTS, CARROTS AND APPLE SAUCE WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS IN IT. AND MILK.
  • PLUS CHOCOLATE RACE CAR CAKE FOR DESSERT.
THANK GOODNESS HIS BIRTHDAY ONLY COMES ONCE A YEAR AS THIS IS NOT A HEALTHY DAY. I HAVE NEVER MEET ANOTHER PERSON WHO LIKES CHOCOLATE MORE THAN MASON, NOT EVEN ME OR HIS NANA. HE IS A ONE IN A MILLION WHEN IT COMES TO CHOCOLATE. Madison was helping me get out the summer/spring clothing that we had in a box from last year. She had to try everything on. I loved her out fit choices. Just had to add this at the end even if it has nothing to do with Mason's birthday.. A picture says a thousand words.

Happy, Happy Birthday Mason

With Spring in the AIR, we tend to have quite a few birthday Month by Month. Today just 2 days before his real birthday with daddy off from work we had his friend Party and Family Birthday Party. We had high hopes that we could have a fun party at the park with games and lot of room to run. Well in Wyoming if you plan a party at a park all you get is rain or snow or both like we had today. So we moved his party to McDonald's play-land. 5 of his friend and Nana came to help us celebrate.
I think this picture tell just how he felt about it. He was wired for the whole party.
Friends at the party
This was not the cake Mason had picked out mom was going to make a race car cake but we had this in Nana's freezer left over from Miles Birthday (it was a blizzard on Miles birthday so we did not make it to Rock Springs to pick it up. He does not know any different. He loved the cake. It all worked out.
He scored a fur real dino and a Air Hog popper. This year with earth day just a couple of days ago, elected to use what we had on had to wrap and not waste trees. (plus mom was not in the mood) Mason was happy no matter what.
On Monday we get to bring cupcakes and muffins to his classes at school for his birthday. Right at this minute my house is filled with hot wheels and wrappings from gifts. I would say he his happy and enjoyed every minute of his party and gifts.

Spring, Boots, Earth Day and Kids

Happy Earth Day to you all.
On this fun day we played out side and enjoyed this planet. I did on Earth Day did one day with out plastic bags and paper plates. I was so proud of my self. Even when we went on a picnic I used plastic containers no throw away bags. This kids had fun picking up trash and told us about what they learned at school about earth day.
Madison likes to think that she is doing tricks like her brothers do on their bikes.
If he does not break a bone this summer riding his bike. I will be very surprised.
This was a cute picture I could not resist. Madison wore her boots with her dress. When daddy got home his boots smelled of gas so I put them on the porch. Madison took her boots off to get her PJ's on and they had wood chips in them, so I told her to dump the chips out side. I went on with the other kids. Later on that night I noticed her boots on the porch next to her DADDYS. So many times people think about little boys and their daddy but this is my little girl and her daddy's boots. Just make you realize that your kids look up to you even when you don't notice.
A picture is worth a thousand words.
Mason told me he was cleaning the earth for earth day. I thought this was so cute and so innocent. It is fun to see the world threw a child eye.

Spring is Finally Here?!?!?!?!?

When you live in Wyoming in the spring you count your blessing when the sun is shinning and the wind is blowing less than 20 mph. Today was one of those days. What else would you do than have fun at a park, that you can ride your bike to. While Miles had his 3 hour baseball practice we played and then of course went home for dinner. Mom was happy he was practicing at Truman just 1/4 or less of a mile from our home. Here is some fun pictures of our Blessed day in the sun.
I nicked name Marcus the Monkey because he climbs on every thing. Madison thought that she could do it too. Some times mom ended up running as fast as she could to rescue her.
What does a mom hear over and over at the park.
Mom "push me PLEASE" Higher.
Watch for Marcus' tongue. It seems to hang when he hangs.
You would have thought that this was their first time at a park.
I am so great full that Spring is hear. I thought that it would never make it. Makes our little simple home of 1200 square feet seem bigger. When the kids are happy, mom will be happy.

Madison and the Bead

Ask your self What can a Cute girl like this one have in common with
a BEAD???
Do you give up. Sweet Madison is our 4th kid and in all my years off being a mom I have never had this happen to me. After a busy day, Primary Activity and a mistake on baseball practice time (thought it was at 5 but really at 6). I was sitting down hoping all was asleep. Madison keep coming out of her room and wanted to sleep on mom. Finally I gave in and let her on my lap. She was very restless so I passed her off to daddy and went about my business. She came back to me (now it is 9:30)telling me her nose was bugging her. Lately she has been not liking her nose and having me wipe it even if there is nothing there. So I was not to worried. But she keep saying I was not getting it. Finally I gave in and did what a mom does not want to do, I put the nail of my pinkie in her nose. AHHHH there was something there. I was not amused. so I ran to get the tweezers to try to get it out. Placing Madison in her dad's lap under the lamp I proceeded to try to get the blue thing out. I almost gave up (not wanting to push it up any more)I was ready to take her to the ER when I gave it one more try. Wala, out came a blue bed. I could not believe after 3 boys my little girl would be the one to get something stuck up her nose. When she was asked were she got it, as we don't have these kind of beads in our house. She told me tomorrow at the Church. I am guessing and hoping it happened to day at the primary activity and not yesterday at Church. Any way I guess the moral of this story is when you think they are past this stage think again. I think/hope she will never do it again. Shortly after removal she was sleeping sound in her bed. Thank goodness it had a hole in it our I would have never got it out and we would have to go the ER.
When I went to take a picture of Maidson I found Miles sleeping like this by his bedroom door. I Have not idea how they sleep the way they do.

A bus,y busy, but fun week!!!

I remember when the kids were young and I could not wait for the day that I did not have to change diapers or get up in the middle of the night to feed a baby. I had thought that I would have more time. Boy was I wrong. This week was the start of Baseball season. Lucky for us we are here in Wyoming so Marcus and Mason are on the same team. With 3 boys playing ball. Each will have 2 games a week. Plus we have scouts and other school activities. This week was the first week of our crazy Baseball season. We also had the joy of having to finish up a Pinewood Derby car for the Pinewood derby and had fun with the Academic fair at Miles and Marcus School. Plus Mason was able to attend Kindergarten Round-up. If I was to talk to a young mom today about what the future holds, I would tell them to saddle up for a busy, crazy but rewarding life ahead. Academic Fair 09 Every Spring Truman Elementary Puts on a little Academic Fair to show off what the kids have been working on. The Art Teacher hung a piece of Art from each student that will also be in the County Fair. Plus they worked on Projects. Marcus is standing by his art rubbing. if you look close you can see his name. To the right of his head. Miles, with his Diorama. The each studied an endangered animal and then made a diorama of their living environment. Miles did his on the Bengal Tiger. He also had to right a page report.
The competition. Tough and Fierce!
Madison and Mason watching the Race. As all can see, by Miles race Mason was a little restless but Madison was sitting well and enjoying the race.
After studying the competition Miles and Jim have some idea's about what to do next year. Miles choose a Texas themed car, because we have just Moved from the Great state and it was an original idea. We look forward to all the many fun weeks ahead. With Primary activities, Mason's birthday, Scouts and all the Baseball fun for the year.

Easter and More

Easter on the road. This last year has been a year of first for our family. First we moved states, spent our first Holiday (Christmas) on the road at Grandma's and now we did our first Easter on the road at Grandma's.
All matching. Even dad was given a pink tie.
Mom was unable to find a pink shirt that she liked so I am in purple. You better mark it down as I do not get in many pictures. So this is the first in a long time. It might be the last you never know.
Easter morning. In our house the kids are given empty baskets/pails and then the must fill it with eggs and their items from the Easter Bunny. They mostly get eggs, and books as we love books in our house. They all loved it.
Sleeping at Grandma's dreaming of Easter morning.
When you are at a Moffat gathering you must Play like a Moffat. We love to rough and tumble.
Tony took his mountain lion of the wall and draped it on him to scare the kids.
Can I help uncover Grandpa's grave
It's hard to explain death to a 3 and 4 or even a 6 year old. So we try to keep the memory of Grandpa Moffat alive in their heart. I want Madison, Mason, Marcus and Miles to remember that they have a grandpa even if he can not be with them. He is watching over them. We take them with us the clear the head stone and place fun thing at his headstone. Mason and Madison wanted to put the "spinning wheels/things" on his grave so we brought them. I think that because they have been to grandpa's grave 5-6 times that they are gaining an understanding of were grandpa is and what kind of person he is. On Monday we were able to take the kids to Jackson Hole for a little fun. They saw were Aunt Brenda works, at a very expensive art gallery. I pick out a couple pieces and the cheapest was "only 15,000" So I think Jim and I will be getting a couple. "NOT" On the way up to Jackson we stopped at the Elk Refuges and watched the Elk eat. In one of the pictures we saw them running down the hill side to eat. Jim has even picked out a few that would work next hunting season. A few with big racks. The kids loved it.
As all can see we spent this wonderful weekend with our "eternal family" What a better way to celebrate Easter. To fill united with our family here and those who have passed on. I am so great-full for my Savior who without him we would not be able to be an Eternal Family. I hope that you all had a great Easter weekend. We look forward to hearing from you all.
