I must be crazy. . .

What was I (we) thinking?? With Jim out of town, I have had lots of time to contemplate this wonderful addition that I am carrying.
Facts about our house by the time this little bundle joins our family 1. It has been over 2.5 years since I have had to change a baby's diaper 2. I will have a Preteen and a baby at the same time (Miles will be 10) 3. We will have 7 people in our family :) 4. It has been 2 years since I had to carry a diaper bag 5. Right now it takes our family less than 5 minutes to leave the house. In June it will take 3 times as long. Fun, Fun 6. I have not gotten up to feed a baby in the middle of the night for 3 1/2 years. 7. Miles will be preparing for his Mission when this little one is going into 3rd grade. A missionary and a Elementary student I hope we are ready. I will be hitting the yard sales this spring in hopes to get the things we need for this little one. Count down has begun. Speaking of count downs I just looked at my kids birthday count downs and today is the only day ever I can say that there is 8 months till Marcus turns 8 and 6 months until Mason turns 6 years old. Plus 222 days until our little one is due. Just some fun facts. If anyone needs a baby shopper sign Madison up she thinks she knows everything we need for this little blessing. Number one on our list of course is a House.

The big News

Pink or blue, brown or red hair, Short or tall we do not know. What we can tell you is that our family is growing by 2 little feet. http://www.coolholidaygraphics.com/baby/graphics/babiesclipart8.jpg
Our family is excited to announce that we are going to have a baby. My official due date is June 6, 2010. We expect that this little blessing will join our family at the end of May.
He or she has a strong heart rate and looks as good as a little M&M can look. Now we just have to find a house and get ready to bring him or her home. As we are just as surprised as you. We are starting over, not a lick of baby stuff in our house. The next months should bring many surprised and be fun all rolled up into one.

~Pumpkins~

Pumpkins
The leaves are changing colors and are all over the ground. The is a chill in the air. It must be the start of Autumn. Today for for family home evening we were able to get all the men/boys in the house hair trimmed at a real barber shop. Then we went to go and pick out some great pumpkins for our Halloween fun. We have one run which I am sure most houses have. You have to be able to carry your own pumpkin. So this is the kids and their pumpkins. Madison with her pumpkin weighing in at 7.6 lbs
Marcus with his pumpkin weighing in at 11.6 lbs
Mason's cute and fun, weighed in at 5.54 lbs. Yes Madison's was more but he liked this one. Mason helps us realize that size is not everything.
Miles to it to heart. He wanted the biggest possible one he could find. So He left with one weighing in at 19.08 lbs. What a haul. Yes he can carry it. They had fun and can not wait to carve them. Now mom and dad are not so sure about the carving, but the kids are. We are currently looking for stand in parents for Sunday afternoon, as this kinda sickens mom and dad out a little bit. May we all be so blessed and have a great Halloween.

Week in review

What a fun and wonderful week our family had all things considered. This is a picture of Madison Teaching Primary to her stuffed animals. Miles had his first basketball game. He did great. I took some pictures but they were all blury. He did great. He scored 4 of the 7 points for his team. Yes they won 7 to 4. It was great. he is really getting a hang of the game.
We were able to spend 2 days at Jim's mom house this week. We came down to let Jim do some hunting with the kids. They had fun hunting with daddy. They looked so cute with their orange vest on. I forgot the camera so no pics :(.
This is Madison all dressed up in her cute attire. She loves going to grandma's house. The kids had fun playing with their 2nd cousins and going "hunting" with daddy. Plus it was fun to get to ride in daddy's new truck.
We did not have any luck finding an Elk, but they did find some deer. They joked that the deer were waving saying ha ha it is not our turn to run now. Go Elk Go.
We may not have seen any Elk on our trip but we were able to see the latest in babies that will call me Great Aunt. Yes that is right to all who did not know, I am a great Aunt. This is Graycee Rose. She is so adorable. She can make anyone baby hungry. Congrats Clinit and Chelsie. All in all it was a great week to be in our family. My mom had sugary and is doing as good as can be expected. We went on a small trip to grandmas and all are still well and breathing. Can't wait to see what next week brings :) only time will tell.

Halloweeen Preview

We had our first Halloween Activity on Saturday. The kids were so excited to be able to put their Costumes so early in the month. So with out any further ado I would like to introduce you to the Moffat Halloween clan 2009 Starting Miles Moffat at a Ape
Madison Ann as Autumn Fairy
This is Madison our Autumn Fairy from behind. It took a lot of time to do her hair. I need to find a faster hair due.
Also starting Marcus and Mason Moffat as Luigi and Mario. The are true brothers in costume and out.
I had hopes of making them all into M&M's but the boys wanted nothing to do with it. Maybe next year we can all have a theme. For now we have two super Hero Mario Brothers a Scary Ape and a Fairy. What a wonderful group of kids.

Dad's New Truck

When, Jim's car broke down over a week ago. We prayed that we would be able to fix it. After it came to be that it would cost to much and take too much time to fix. We started the hunt for a new car/truck for Jim.
We weighed the odds between a car and a truck. We decieded that a truck would be better for our family, with Hunting, camping and hauling things. So with that in mind we started to search for the best deal on a used truck. This truck was our winner. A 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab. All the kids are so excited about the new truck. The can not wait to go to Grandma's next week in it. Now our bank account is empty so we must cut back and save some more for our house.

Madison's snow Day.

The last month has not been easy for Madison with all her brothers in school all day long. So when it snowed on Monday, her brothers had to go to school
She was very excited to get to play in the snow.
Even if her brothers were not there to play with her.
Most of the snow was melted by the times the boys came home from school. So some time it is nice to be young as you get to play when the others are learning. She did tell me that it would have been alot better if Mason was there to play with her.

Snow, Cany Apples and Conference

What a great weekend. The last 3 days have been up and down. But after being able to listen to General Conference. We all feel a little better, even if Jim's car died. I loved the talks and it seems as if they all were trying to united us as families. What an uplifting Conference.
The kids even got in on the great Conference.
I don't know how much they listen or if they just listen for the words on their bingo cards. Either way. The younger ones made it threw one hour and had 2 bingo's and Miles and Marcus made it threw 3 hours and had 3 bingo's
On Saturday why Papa and Jim were working on the Dead car trying to revive it, the kids had a great time making Candy Apples.
Marcus said the best part is licking the left over chocolate.
Don't they look yummy. Candy Apples were a hit, but the car was not it is dead unable to repair anymore. We will be sending it to the Car gravy yard soon.
Sunday why we watch General Conference, the wind blew, and it rained , but about bed time it started to snow. The kids were more than a little excited to see 6 inches of snow in the morning.
"Watch out mom, in coming"
I love this look on his face. It is priceless. We are all glad to see the snow. Some have more joy than others. Madison "mom it snowed, now Santa can come" Mason "Mom can I throw snow?" At least he asked I like the look of snow but not ready for another long winter. This is when I miss the Texas winters.
