Good Bye '09 Hello 2010

It is hard to believe that another year has come and gone. We have had many great days this last year and also have mourned the loss of great people and watch a love one go threw terrible health problems. I can hardly wait to see what 2010 brings the Moffat family. Our family has a few goals for 2010. To stick to the Ramsey envelope budget. Add a new little one to our family. Go to the temple more. One of the fun things we like to do with in a few days of the the New Year is to see out much our kids have grown over the last year. This is our results for the year.
January 09 Madison was 36 lbs and 38 1/2 inches tall Now she is up 4 lbs and 4 inches to 40 lbs and 42 1/2 inches.
January 09 Mason was 44 lbs and 42 inches now he is up 4 lbs and 2 3/4 inches to 48 lbs and 44 3/4 inches January 09 Marcus was 45 1/2 inches and 52 lbs now he is up 4 lbs and 1 1/2 inches to 56 lbs and 47 inches January 09 Miles was 68 lbs and 52 1/2 inches now he is up 7.6 lbs and 4 inches to 75.6 lbs and 56 1/2 inches. It is hard to believe they have changed that much. Miles was hoping to hit 80 pounds this year as he is one of the lightest boys in his class. He is very proud of his 7.6 pounds and the 4 inches. Marcus is really hoping that next year will be his year to grow, he is kinda tired of people thinking he is in Kindergarten and really he is in 1st as old as a second grader. Madison is proud to say she is not much shorter than Mason. I don't think Mason even cared were he was. All in all I think our kids are about average in weight and some are tall and some are short for their age. We are just a bunch of original Moffats. May you all have a great new year.

Christmas lights

Some of our favorite family Christmas traditions is to drive around and look at the Christmas light. Today was the lucky day. We were able to go deliver goodies plates to the families that we either Home teacher or go visiting teaching to. We were happy to say that we saw a few Nativities. This was the best light up one. Sorry we would have a picture of Nana and Papa's as theirs is our favorite but we are in Green River and they are in Rock Springs.
This is our all time Favorite house. It has the Wyoming flag lite up and has a nativity scene, Train and even Santa.
On the hillside behind some really nice house's someone even put a Drummer Boy on the hill side. The kids thought it was great. You can see it from blocks away.
We even saw a few houses' with cars that they had put lights on. One was a 1957 Chevy truck and then a old mustang. All in all this was a fun night of sharing and seeing the wonderful lights of Green River Wyoming.

Baby Gender Guess???

Yeah, Yeah , Yeah I am in my second Trimester. So with my second trimester comes finding out if we are adding a little boy or a little girl. We don't find out for about 5 weeks but I thought it would be fun to see what you think we are having. I posted some myths on boy or girl and answered them. What do you think??

Heart Rate

If the baby’s heart rate is above 160 bpm, it is said that the baby will be a girl. If it is under 160 bpm, then it will be a boy. Girl

Shape of Belly

If you are carrying high with a big, round belly, you are having a girl. If you are carrying low with a smaller belly that sticks straight out, it’s a boy Girl

Shape of Mom’s Face

When your face gets fuller and rounder when pregnant, it means you’re going to have a girl. If your face is long and narrow, it’s a boy. Up in the air

Key Test

This test involves a key. If you pick up a key at the top (the roundest part), you are going to have a boy. If you pick up the key at the bottom (smallest part), you are going to have a girl. If you happen to grab the key in the middle, congrats, it’s twins! -Girl

Mayan Tale

The Mayan tale adds the mothers age at conception and the year of conception. If the result is a even number then mom is having a girl. If the result is an odd number then a boy is on the way! -Boy

Acne

If you have acne while pregnant, it’s a girl. -Girl

Cravings

People believe that if you are craving salty foods while pregnant, you can count on having a boy. If you crave sweets, fruit, and orange juice, you are having a little girl. -Boy

Smell of Garlic

If a pregnant woman eats a clove of garlic and the smell does not come out of her pores, it’s a girl. If the smell seeps out of her pores, it’s a boy. Girl

Skin under Left Eye

The eye test is when a “V” or “branches” appear when you pull down the skin under your left eye. If you see a “V” or “branches” in the white part, you’re having a girl. Girl

Time of Conception

The person that is most aggressive in bed at the time of conception is the opposite of what the baby will be. Unknown Leave it at that

Legs

If your legs get really big, you’re having a boy. If your legs stay in shape and lean, it’s a girl. Girl

Moodiness and a Little Pecker

If you are really moody, you are having a girl since you have another extra girl hormones in you. Your pregnancy will make you smile and be more happy if you are having a boy because there’s a little penis inside you.Girl

Bread

If you eat the ends of bread, it’s a boy. If you eat the middle of the load, it’s a girl. haha doesn't everyone like the middle? Girl

Chinese Gender Chart

The Chinese Gender Chart claims to have an accuracy rate of over 90%. It is based on how old the mother is at conception and the month that she conceived. -Girl

Basically you are having a girl if your beauty disappears during pregnancy. It is said that the girl “steals” the mother’s beauty. If you think that pregnancy has never made you look more beautiful, you might just be having a little boy. Girl

Dream of Sex of Baby

If you have dreams that you are having a boy, you will have a girl. If you dream about having a girl, it will be a boy. Dreams show the opposite of what you are having. -Girl

Clumsy vs. Graceful

If the pregnant woman is graceful throughout her pregnancy, she’s having a girl. If she becomes clumsy, she’s having a boy. -Girl

Toddlers

If a toddler boy expresses interest in a pregnant woman, she is having a girl. If he doesn’t show interest, she’s having a boy. Girl

Hands

When the pregnant woman is asked to show her hands, it’s a boy if she keeps her palms down and a girl if she shows her palms up. -Girl

Dad’s Weight Gain

If the dad-to-be gains weight while you are pregnant, it’s a girl. If he doesn’t gain weight, you’re having a boy. -Boy

What Do You Think?

71% of the time, the mom-to-be knows what she is having. -Boy

Morning Sickness

If you had a smooth pregnancy with no morning sickness, it’s a boy. If you were sick or felt really nauseous during your pregnancy, count on a girl. -Girl

Areola

If your areola (the part around your nips) have darkened, it’s a boy. -Girl

Protein

When a pregnant woman craves meat and cheese, count on a boy. -Girl

Feet

Are your feet colder now that you are pregnant? If so, you just might be having a boy. If your feet have stayed the same before pregnancy and during, you’re having a little girl. -Girl

Hair on Legs

If the hair on your legs has been growing at record speeds, you might be having a boy. -Girl

Hands are Dry

If your hands are constantly dry, it’s a boy. -Boy

Nose

Do you feel like your nose is growing and getting wider? If so, you might be having a boy. -Girl

Headaches

If you are having headaches, you might be carrying a boy. -Boy

Baby Names

It is said that when you can only think of specific names for a boy or a girl, you will have that particularly baby. We have both first names picked out and have for a long time but we only have the middle for the girl picked out. So maybe a girl

The Man. . . Santa Claus

After school today we did one of the seasonal things most families with small kids do. We went to a craft fair and saw Santa Claus. Madison was all smiles. She was speechless when it came to him. She could not stop smiling.
She was so proud of her new light up Christmas socks that she had to roll her pants up so all could see them. Madison's Christmas list for this year is Littlest Pet shop, and a new baby sister.
I don't know how much longer Miles will put up with sitting on Santa's lap. He does it for mom and the rest of the kids. He stopped believing at 7 years old. He figured it out, since he is a deep thinker he new there was know way Santa could fly that far in one night. Miles Christmas list for 2009 is a New DSi, Air hog and Lava coaster Knex
Mason is so sweet. At least this year he sat on his lap with our being scared. His list for this year is Shake and go cars and Air hog wall climbers
I don't know how much longer he will be a believer. I sure love the innocence of the ones that believe. Madison told Santa if he put her on the good list she would clean her room. Marcus' Christmas list for 2009 is Transformers and Air hogs
All in all I think it is a fun part to enjoy with the Christmas season. Our main focus at home in the Birth of Christ and service but I think all christian kids need to have the opportunity to believe in Santa Claus. I don't think there is any harm in them believing. It is nice to get the visit to Santa done early so we can go on with the fun of doing service and preparing to Celebrate Jesus' Birthday.
