Announcements Announcing the Baptism of Marcus Moffat and the Blessing of Mylee Moffat Also Mylee's birth Announcement. We hope they come in the mail early next week so we can get them out in the mail to all our Friends and Family. But I thought I would give you all a sneak peek at them.

Relay for Life 2010

Nana and Papa walking the survivor walk. Another year of hard work and planning brought on a great Relay for life. The theme of the year was Celebrate more birthdays. So it was a party theme. The kids have come to love Relay for life and look forward to it every year. I hope that in one way they realize how important it is to find a cure for such a terrible thing that kills so many, and touches so many more peoples lives. I hope that they learn a lot from it and that it is not just to come and play. We spend our money here and not at the fair. The kids have a lot more fun in a safer environment, were the money goes to a good cause. Mylee even came and stayed until just after 11 pm and was up there early this morning. The kids had fun spending their money at the little games and getting prizes Some of the late night stuff was hard on the yonger ones. Thank goodness Papa was there to hold a sleeping girl. Madison made it to 10:30, Mason to 11:20 Marcus to 2:30 Dad to 3 am and Miles won and made it to 4 am. Mom and Mylee went home at 11:15. Daddy and Miles beat their old record at Frisbee toss and tossed it 77 times in a row without dropping it. This is what I found when I came back in the morning. Miles you can not see as he is tucked all the way in his bag. All in all it was fun and a went for a good cause. We can't wait for next year. We will have to see if Mylee can make it threw the night at a year old. I think it is our new family summer tradition.

Boo Hoo Hoo . . . . .

This week brought a lot. It meant that our sweet Mylee was already a week old. I can not believe how fast time flies. It also brought the end of the school year. A lot will change for the boys next year.

From Last day of school and more

Miles is saying good by to Elementary school. It is hard to believe that he will no longer be in the same school as his brothers until he hits high school. What's up with that??? Mason and Marcus once again will go to a new school for the 3rd time in their short school life. They are excited and nervous at the same time. So as we said good-bye to the Jackson Elementary school and Hello to Harrison Elementary School. The boys have teachers with the same last name, Mr. and Mrs. Timmons. Yes they are married. On a side note they are also our back door neighbors. Which I think can be a good thing. Madison will be going to the same pre-school for one more year. She thinks that if she colors, draws and writes like a first grader then they will let her go to Kindergarten next year. No such luck. I don't look forward to the first day of school for the boys next year for this reason and many more. With Mylee turning a week old we are all adjusting to our sweet miracle baby. She is one of the best babies I have had. She is an answer to prayers. I thank the Lord every day that we were blessed with such a wonderful baby. She only really cries when she is hungry and never has a full blown cry unless we are making her wait to eat for an extended period of time. She is a gift to our family and we all love her so very much. I can't wait to see how she will change and develop over the next few weeks, months and years ahead. Also Sweet Madison, has once again decided that she can ride a two wheeler. She had just learned to ride at the end of the season last year. Only road a few times. This year when bikes came out she was a little scared to mount her bike without training wheels. But since she is a big sister now she decided she was brave and is riding like a pro. She is our youngest to learn. As big brother Mason is still not ready to leave his training wheels behind. Maybe this year. You never know. It is hard to believe how fast they have grown over the span of a school year. At the beginning of this last school year. We were a family of 6 with no idea or plan of a baby. We were living in a 1200 sq foot trailer. Now 9 short months later we are a family of 7 with a new house and new baby. The kids have grown and learned a lot over the last 9 months. They all did wonderful in school and have made their mom and dad proud of them.

Oh what a week.

It has been quite a week. It is hard to believe that Mylee is one week old today. The whole house has gone threw quite some changes. There are new mountains of laundry that have not been done, bathrooms to clean and floors to do, but mom has been busy with the newest addition to the Moffat family.

Most in the house feel something like this. I think mom feels like she has been hit my a semi truck. We have learned that with 4 older siblings there is no need for a baby monitor.

Family Blessings

For Family Home Evening tonight we talked about the blessing of living in a large family. Sometimes you feel like the world is against you when you have more than the typical American 2 or the Mormon 4. As your kids grow up and they feel like the "Jones" Have the newest and the latest electronic or have just came back from a great Trip. But the blessing that they have from being n a large family. They always have a friend. Life is never boring, They know how to share at an early age, They have a buddy when no one else is there for them. Plus much much more. Some times it is hard to see the blessing of a family but the rewards are there and your family is all that you can bring with you to the hear after. So even if they run around in Last seasons fashion or don't have a WII in their house, or even and I-pod around their neck. But they are all winners in our book. I am so blessed to have such wonderful kids. Also to help the kids see how long it is until little Mylee joins our family we make a count down chain. They could not believe how long it was. We have 90 days from my first due date. We are sure that things could change and that she will normally come earlier but you have to start some were. The are excited to pull a chain every night. We love our large and blessed family. We would not have it any other way.

From the mouth of kids. . . Babies

Babies: What are they were do they come from?

With everyday brings new questions about babies. This week we had some wonderful thoughts from the mouth of our dear kids. On Wednesday this week Madison was watching Nick jr. Why I was doing laundry. She was watching Little Bill and Ms. Murry was getting married. After the teacher got married Madison turned to me and stated: Mom now she has a baby in her belly right. Some reason our kids tend to believe that once you are married you automatically have a baby in your belly. At prayer last night Mason turned to me and pointed to were my belly button area and asked when was the Dr. Going to open it up and take the baby out. I told him that is not how babies come out. That mommy will have a little pain and then push the baby out. He then asked if he could help me push the baby out like this and started pushing on my leg. I told him that mom will be in the hospital and that he can help with the baby when S/he gets home from the hospital. He then told me to be careful not to push the baby out when I go to the potty. How cute. I just love how their little minds work. After all this talk I asked each of our wonderful kids if they could choose if mommy was to have a boy or girl what would they choose and why? Miles: A girl, we have enough boys in our house. Marcus: You are going to have a boy and then another boy and another and another. Until you have a football team. We will be the Dallas Cowboys Moffat's. Why? Because boys are cool . Mason: What do you want mommy to have? A baby boy. Why? because he would love me. What about a sister? She would love me even more. So what should mommy have? a baby sister. Then he bounces around saying I love her and she loves me. I want a baby sister to love me more. This is how he has been the whole time. Madison: What do you think mommy is having. A baby sister. How do you know? I have known for ever. mommy is going to have a girl because we have 1,2,3,4 boys and only 1, 2 girls we need more girls. I just had to share the fun from the mouths of our little ones. Boy or girl. Red or blonde hair. We all are getting excited for our little one to join our family.

Fall fun

After a super busy October, we had to cancel our family pictures. So on Friday with the kids out of school, I decided to see how I would do at taking their pictures at a local park. These pictures are Jim's all time favorites. Marcus is on the rock. He made up his own pose.

Sweet Madison was a little scared due to her big brother telling her their were coyotes out there. But she did great on this one.

Mason is one of the hardest to get his smile to look kinda normal. But he is so cute any ways.

All in all it took me almost a hour and we had some fun. They may not be professional but I think they will do. Maybe next year with a new baby and all we will finally get a family one done. If you want to check out all the poses they are in my photo album on facebook.

Snow, Cany Apples and Conference

What a great weekend. The last 3 days have been up and down. But after being able to listen to General Conference. We all feel a little better, even if Jim's car died. I loved the talks and it seems as if they all were trying to united us as families. What an uplifting Conference.

The kids even got in on the great Conference.

I don't know how much they listen or if they just listen for the words on their bingo cards. Either way. The younger ones made it threw one hour and had 2 bingo's and Miles and Marcus made it threw 3 hours and had 3 bingo's

On Saturday why Papa and Jim were working on the Dead car trying to revive it, the kids had a great time making Candy Apples.

Marcus said the best part is licking the left over chocolate.

Don't they look yummy. Candy Apples were a hit, but the car was not it is dead unable to repair anymore. We will be sending it to the Car gravy yard soon.

Sunday why we watch General Conference, the wind blew, and it rained , but about bed time it started to snow. The kids were more than a little excited to see 6 inches of snow in the morning.

I love this look on his face. It is priceless. We are all glad to see the snow. Some have more joy than others. Madison "mom it snowed, now Santa can come" Mason "Mom can I throw snow?" At least he asked I like the look of snow but not ready for another long winter. This is when I miss the Texas winters.
